The BBSI HR Consultant role provides guidance and support to our business-owner clients and our internal team of experts. This person must demonstrate strong business acumen, and possess an entrepreneurial spirit with a genuine desire to proactively and consistently deliver results for our clients and internal teams. The BBSI HR Consultant supports a multi-million dollar business unit that consults on a broad range of organizational issues.

The primary objective of the HR Consultant is to provide guidance, training and support to clients in the areas of strategic human capital management, employment law compliance, employee relations, organizational development, workers' compensation administration and the overall development of best practices in human resources.

• Provide guidance, training and support to clients in strategic human capital management, employment law compliance, employee relations, organizational development, workers' compensation administration, and best practices in human resources.
• Support a multi-million dollar business unit that consults on a broad range of organizational issues.
• Travel approximately 80% of the time to work with clients, primarily locally, at their locations.

• Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including employment laws and regulations; ongoing self-directed maintenance of knowledge on current laws, events, industry trends and economic factors affecting BBSI and clients.
• Knowledge of HR metrics and ability to benchmark, measure, analyze and articulate the ROI of HR initiatives, practices and policies.
• 10+ years of hands-on and strategic HR management experience.
• Multi-client/units consulting experience a plus.
• Networking with HR associations or related groups.
• Training, organizational and cultural development experience.
• Willingness to perform administrative work as needed.
• Experience in building an HR department is a plus.
• Ability to become a trusted advisor to business owners.
• Additional operations or business experience outside of HR.
• Proven ability to write, develop and deliver presentations and facilitate trainings to individuals and groups at all levels.
• Bilingual in Mandarin a plus but not required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced degree is a plus. SPHR or PHR strongly preferred.
• Extensive Microsoft Office experience.

• Salary range: starting at $97,000–$115,000 annually. Final offer dependent on geography, skills, education, experience, certifications and other qualifications.
• Eligible for incentive pay according to company plan.

• 40 hours of paid sick leave annually; vacation accrual up to 80 hours in year 1, up to 120 hours in years 2–4, and up to 160 hours in year 5; 6 paid holidays; 4 paid volunteer days.
