Cycle Construction is seeking an organized, professional, and highly motivated Business Manager (HR & Administration) to join our leadership team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing people, processes, compliance, and operations while helping a growing company run efficiently.
The Business Manager serves as a key partner to the VP of Finance and Administration and plays a critical role in overseeing human resources administration, insurance and compliance programs, safety administration, staffing coordination, and day-to-day administrative operations.

The Business Manager supports the VP of Finance and Administration in the management of the Company's administrative infrastructure, including human resources, staffing, benefits administration, insurance compliance, risk management support, safety administration, and office operations.
This position directly supervises administrative personnel and works closely with leadership to ensure Company programs, policies, and compliance requirements are executed effectively and professionally.
Responsibilities Human Resources & Employee Administration- Lead recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding activities
- Coordinate background checks, MVR reviews, E-Verify, DOT physicals, and new hire processing
- Maintain employee records and HR systems
- Administer employee benefits and assist with annual open enrollment
- Coordinate payroll-related changes with Accounting and payroll systems
- Support employee relations, attendance tracking, return-to-work processes, and policy administration
- Manage subcontractor and vendor certificate of insurance (COI) compliance
- Maintain COI tracking systems and insurance documentation
- Assist with workers' compensation and unemployment administration
- Support annual insurance renewals and broker coordination
- Ensure compliance with employment-related reporting and posting requirements
- Supervise and support administrative team members
- Assist with process improvement and administrative system management
- Coordinate meetings, events, communications, and executive support functions
- Prepare reports, correspondence, and administrative documentation
- Maintain accurate records across Company software systems and file management platforms
- Support special projects and initiatives as assigned
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of administrative, HR, business operations, or related experience required
- Experience in human resources administration, benefits coordination, recruiting, or insurance compliance preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with HRIS/HRMS platforms such as BambooHR preferred
- Experience working in construction, industrial, or project-based environments is a plus
- Takes ownership and follows through
- Builds positive relationships across all levels of the organization
- Is highly organized and detail-oriented
- Can manage multiple priorities without losing sight of deadlines
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality at all times
- Enjoys supporting both people and business operations
