Rayburn Correctional Center is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Analyst. This position plays a vital role in ensuring effective HR operations within a correctional environment, contributing to recruitment, employee relations, policy compliance, and workforce development. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, sound judgement, and a commitment to supporting staff.

- Three years of human resources experience; OR
- Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
- A bachelor’s degree.
- EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

- Will contact potential candidates/applicants to set up interviews, and assist in the interview process.
- Must be knowledgeable of Civil Service Rules, federal and state law, Department Regulations, Institutional policies related to employment and regarding Human Resources.
- Will keep abreast of payroll policies, procedures and changes.
- Will provide benefit programs and advise employees of various options available under certain programs.
Appointment Type: JOB APPOINTMENT
- A job appointment is a temporary job lasting up to four years; however, should a permanent position become available, the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
- This position may also be filled as a probational appointment if a non-temporary position becomes available in the recruitment process.
- If filled by probation, a permanent classified LA State employee, if selected, may be required to accept a probational appointment.
Compensation:
This position has a Special Entrance Rate (SER) at each level. However, the salary offered will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
- Human Resources Analyst A has an SER of $20.20 per hour
- Human Resources Analyst B has an SER of $21.61 per hour
- Human Resources Analyst C has an SER of $24.31 per hour
