Position Purpose
The Talent Outreach Specialist supports the organization's early career talent strategy by developing and maintaining university partnerships, coordinating recruiting events, managing internship recruitment activities, and building talent pipelines for future hiring needs. This role serves as a key liaison between students, universities, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders to attract, engage, and develop emerging talent while supporting recruiting operations and employer branding initiatives.
* After an initial training period this role has the option to be hybrid with 3 days in office and 2 days remote.
Duties & Responsibilities:
University Relations & Talent Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with university partners, faculty, career services teams, and student organizations.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students seeking information about internship and early career opportunities.
- Coordinate and attend university recruiting events, campus programs, networking events, information sessions, and career fairs.
- Support university partnership initiatives, including the 360 Promise Program, Tulane University partnerships, and other strategic talent development programs.
- Conduct ongoing university research to identify new partnership opportunities and strengthen existing relationships.
- Facilitate mock interviews, career readiness activities, and student engagement initiatives.
Early Career Recruiting & Candidate Engagement
- Source and attract candidates for internship and entry-level positions.
- Review resumes and assess candidate qualifications for internship and early career opportunities.
- Conduct candidate phone screenings and provide recommendations to hiring managers.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruiting lifecycle to ensure a positive experience.
- Coordinate interview schedules and support hiring managers during the selection process.
- Post internship and entry-level requisitions across recruiting platforms.
Recruiting Events & Career Fair Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute campus and professional recruiting events.
- Research, register, schedule and manage participation in career fairs and networking events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including promotional materials, shipping, giveaways, inventory management, and vendor communication.
- Attend recruiting events, including travel to universities, conferences, and industry networking events.
- Conduct post-event follow-up activities, including candidate engagement, resume processing, and event reporting.
- Evaluate recruiting event effectiveness through expense reviews, return-on-investment analysis, and program assessment.
