ATypical Day May Include
- Advising regional operations leaders on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
- Conducting and documenting employee relations investigations and coaching managers on corrective action
- Mentoring and providing day-to-day guidance to junior HR staff
- Collaborating with team members, leaders, and other departments
- Managing priorities and completing tasks in a timely manner
- Supporting a professional, safe, and productive work environment
- Required 7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years as an HR Partner supporting field-based craft or operational populations across multiple sites
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations, including conducting workplace investigations and advising on disciplinary matters
- Ability to travel to project sites and field locations from 25% – 40%
- Preferred Experience in industrial services, construction, oil & gas, petrochemical, or a similar project-based environment
- HR Certification (SPHR or SHRM-SCP preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field
- Required Working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and statutes, with the ability to apply them to real-life situations to mitigate company risk
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and HRIS platforms (Workday preferred)
- Ability to use HR metrics and workforce data to influence operational decisions and present recommendations to senior leadership
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-party investigations and advise leaders on high-risk employment decisions
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Preferred Experience with union environments, collective-bargaining agreements, project labor agreements, or prevailing wage requirements
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (e.g., hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, FR clothing) and follow site safety requirements when visiting project sites
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands as required for the position
- Ability to work primarily in an office or professional work environment
- May be required to work extended hours, weekends, or travel based on business needs
- Regular use of computers, phones, and other standard office equipment
