SummaryThe Database Developer will work in coordination with and in support of Civilian Database Developers and Data Center Database Administrators to provide high‑level expertise in information modeling and requirements analysis to develop and maintain complete logical and physical data models and business process models.
Responsibilities- Design, test, implement, and maintain database tables, functions, and procedures
- Develop queries to support Middle‑Tier Java developers
- Monitor database and application response times
- Integrate systems and interfaces into the application architecture through database design
- Coordinate administrative tasks and support process‑improvement activities
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver quality software capabilities
- Ability to assess and understand system and functional requirements
- Understanding of QA processes and ability to follow QA guidelines
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- One (1) or more years of related experience
- Pass an employer background check with the National Agency Check (NAC)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fields)
- Professional experience with Oracle 19c Database and Oracle SQL/PLSQL
- Knowledge of three‑tiered architecture:
Front‑End (web server), Middle Tier (application server), Back‑End (database server) - Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems, Dell TOAD DBA Suite for Oracle, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and JBOSS Application Server
- Familiarity with common software such as Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and MS Office
