We are seeking a hands‑on Data Integrations Engineer/Architect to support and modernize an enterprise data ecosystem within a financial services environment. This role will initially focus on stabilizing and maintaining a legacy SQL Server‑based client master data platform, while guiding the transition to a modern enterprise data warehouse leveraging Talend and contemporary ETL practices. The ideal candidate combines deep technical SQL expertise with strong data integration & modeling experience and thrives in production support / transformation initiatives.
Responsibilities- Provide production support for a legacy SQL Server‑based client master data system, including databases, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and related web services.
- Analyze and reverse‑engineer complex SQL logic to document business rules, data transformations, and lineage across systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues spanning SQL Server, MDM, Salesforce, and Talend workflows.
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and DBA‑level support to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to validate data outputs, clarify transformation logic, and ensure data quality.
- Support the transition to an enterprise data warehouse environment (Oracle‑modeled, SQL Server implementation), aligning legacy processes with modern ETL standards.
- Collaborate with ETL developers, Business Analysts, and Systems Analysts on data mapping, reconciliation, and migration activities.
- Contribute to enterprise data architecture standards, ensuring consistent integration patterns and governance practices.
- 5+ years of experience working in SQL Server environments.
- Advanced expertise in stored procedures, complex SQL queries, performance tuning, and data troubleshooting.
- Strong experience with ETL processes, enterprise data integrations, and data warehouse environments.
- Solid understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts.
- Ability to reverse‑engineer business logic from legacy SQL code and document transformation rules clearly.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to operate effectively in production environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with SSIS, Talend integration tools, DBA‑level support, financial services or regulated environments, and master data management (MDM) platforms preferred.
