Reporting to the Manager of AI Governance, the AI Governance Analyst will be part of the AI Governance team within the AI organization that is responsible for the development and implementation of risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures to help ensure that AI solutions, agents, and tools are developed and deployed in a safe and responsible manner throughout the company. AI solutions may comprise of software systems, data platforms, and digital tools, employing machine learning, including generative AI, advanced data analytics, and robotic process automation in order to transform business processes and solve business problems.
The Analyst will work closely with the AI product delivery and platform teams as they develop and deploy AI solutions that will deliver sustainable value to the business. The Analyst will also support the AI Governance team’s collaborative effort with cross-functional teams that include business leaders, legal, regulatory, security, IT, audit, and ethics teams to review proposed AI solutions, develop implementation guidelines and checklists to guide project teams, identify risk mitigation options, and produce reports on compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
Working within the AI Governance team, the Analyst will also assist and support the PMO team in facilitating the development and implementation of standardized processes, reporting on their performance and compliance with policies, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. The Analyst will also collaborate with the AI Education and Enablement team in developing training content and project implementation toolkits that will guide the project teams in developing responsible AI solutions.
- Support the AI Governance Manager in facilitating AI governance activities including reviewing proposed AI solutions, developing project implementation guidelines and checklists, and preparation of senior management reports on AI metrics.
- Collaborate with AI product and platform teams to develop, implement, and maintain AI governance standards, policies, and procedures to ensure the quality, accessibility, reliability, and security of enterprise AI systems.
- Execute and continuously improve AI risk management processes.
- Monitor and report on compliance with governance policies and standards.
- Stay up-to-date and educate the company on the latest trends and developments in AI and governance regulations, best practices, and issues.
- Collaborate with the PMO team in ensuring delivery standards are identified and followed.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience- Analyst I: 0-2 years of professional experience.
- Analyst II: 2-4 years of professional experience, at least 1 year of experience supporting or implementing governance processes, preferably in AI, including risk assessments, policy adherence, or compliance reviews.
- Analyst III: 4-6 years of professional experience, at least 2 years of experience supporting or implementing governance processes, preferably in AI, including risk assessments, policy adherence, or compliance reviews.
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge and experience with governance and risk management frameworks (NIST AI risk management framework), tools, and processes.
- Strong understanding of AI and machine learning principles.
- Experience with cloud-based platforms and Software as a Service.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Familiarity with energy and utility industry preferred.
AI governance certifications desired, such as EXIN AI Compliance Professional (AICP), ISICA Advanced in AI Security Management (AAISM), IAPP Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AGIP), but not required.
