This role sits within Allstate Dealer Services (ADS), on a growing and evolving Data Team that partners closely with business leaders to drive growth, improve profitability, and reduce losses. The team operates in a highly collaborative, global model—working closely with U.S.

The Data & Business Analyst is responsible for supporting business decision‑making through data analysis, reporting, and business process improvement. The role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams by gathering requirements, analyzing data, identifying trends, and delivering actionable insights. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical thinking with business acumen and has a desire to develop both technical data skills and consulting capabilities.

• Business Analysis – Partner with business stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and opportunities; gather, document, and clarify business requirements; translate them into analytical solutions; lead initiatives in defining KPIs, metrics, and success measures; support process improvement efforts by identifying operational inefficiencies and recommending solutions; create business requirement documents, user stories, process flows, and presentations.
• Data Analysis & Reporting – Extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple sources to answer business questions; develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and recurring reports using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools; monitor performance metrics and identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities; conduct root‑cause analysis to support decision‑making and problem resolution; present findings and recommendations in a clear, business‑friendly manner.
• Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with business leaders, product owners, technology teams, and operations partners; participate in project meetings, workshops, and requirement‑gathering sessions; support implementation and adoption of data‑driven solutions; communicate project status, risks, and analytical findings to stakeholders.
• Data Governance & Quality – Validate data accuracy and investigate data quality issues; document metric definitions, business rules, and reporting logic; support data governance initiatives and ensure consistency across reporting solutions.

• 5–10 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, reporting, or a related field.
• Basic proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis.
• Experience with Excel and reporting/visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate data into meaningful business insights.
• Preferred:
  Experience with Python, R, or other analytical tools.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management concepts.
• Strong foundation in statistical analysis and hypothesis testing.
• Experience creating dashboards and executive reporting.
• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of data modeling, databases, or cloud analytics platforms.

Compensation offered for this role is $70,100 – $121,475 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
