IT Application Engineer

Join Chevron as an IT Application Engineer where you will be responsible for integrating Information Technology with chemicals manufacturing business processes and Oronite regional processes in Belle Chase, Louisiana (New Orleans Metro Area). This role includes support analyst scope. The Application Engineer should be able to effectively represent acquired business requirements and collaborate with IT development teams with a primary focus on maintaining vendor software and optimizing evergreen support through configuration, automation, and integration.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to effectively communicate, interact and build relationships with stakeholders at various organizational levels to understand needs, business priorities and digital roadmaps
• Collaborate with IT colleagues globally to represent Oak Point’s technical and business requirements
• Work with developers, testers, and architects to collaboratively deliver applications, interfaces, and IT services as needed
• Troubleshoots and fixes errors by applying basic Oronite site application analyst knowledge and skills
• Applies in-depth knowledge of business domain to develop and enhance business workflows
• Manages and automates application testing suites
• Facilitate application releases in participating in user acceptance testing and/or coordinating with business users
• Ensure all solution components are well documented

Qualifications/

Skills:

• 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Knowledge in IT application support and development for Chemicals, Oil and Gas.
• Has knowledge and/or experience in Agile Framework, Scrum, and Dev Ops.
• Technical skills and hands-on support and development experience in Azure, ADO, Power Apps, Microsoft Office, API, SAP, Lab systems (Starlims), Inteletract, SAP, etc.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Education:
  
  Management Information Systems;
  Computer Information Systems
