Field Deployed Engineer with strong Dev Ops skills (East Coast)

Scylla AI develops advanced AI-powered video analytics solutions that help organizations enhance security, safety, and operational efficiency. Our technology uses computer vision and deep learning to detect threats, monitor environments, and support real-time decision-making across critical infrastructure, public spaces, and commercial facilities.

We are looking for a Field Deployed Engineer with strong Dev Ops skills who will support the deployment, integration, and ongoing operation of our AI solutions in customer environments.

Role Overview

As a Field
Deployed Engineer
, you will work at the intersection of Dev Ops, deployment engineering, and customer support
. Your main responsibility will be ensuring that Scylla AI systems are successfully deployed, integrated, and maintained in production environments.

You will collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure high system reliability and smooth customer operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deploy and configure Scylla AI software solutions in customer environments (on-premise and cloud).
  • Maintain and support deployed systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Manage infrastructure using Dev Ops practices and automation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to deployment, networking, containers, and infrastructure.
  • Monitor system health, logs, and metrics to proactively identify issues.
  • Support upgrades, patches, and new feature rollouts.
  • Work closely with customers' IT teams during integration and support phases.
  • Create and maintain deployment documentation and runbooks.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams to improve deployment processes and system reliability.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for installations and deployments.
Required Skills
  • Background in technical support with hands‑on Dev Ops skills and previous experience working as a system integrator.
  • Strong Linux administration skills.
  • Experience with Dev Ops practices and tools
    .
  • Experience with Docker and containerized environments
    .
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes (deployment, troubleshooting, operations).
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
    .
  • Experience monitoring systems and logs (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar).
  • Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with AI/ML systems deployment
    .
  • Experience with video systems or CCTV infrastructure
    .
  • Cloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience working with GPU servers
    .
