Summary

IT Specialist (APPSW) – Node-React Full Stack Web Application Developer positions are filled through the Office of Personnel Management’s Direct Hire Authority, open to all U.S. citizens. Selections will result in new appointments to the civil service.

Location:

Woodlawn, MD (Telework eligible; Employees required onsite 75% of duty time).

Salary: $102,415 – $133,142 per year (GS-12).

Work schedule:

Full-time, no travel required.

Appointment type:

• Design, develop and maintain web applications using React.js and Node.js RESTful APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable code using version control tools such as Git.
• Develop and maintain unit and integration tests.
• Troubleshoot and debug web applications.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions.

• Attention to Detail – thorough and conscientious.
• Customer Service – works with clients to assess needs and provide assistance.
• Oral Communication – delivers clear, effective presentations and listens attentively.
• Problem Solving – identifies problems and evaluates alternatives.

Minimum GS‑12 Level: Specialized experience at GS‑11 level (or equivalent) in IT related fields.

• Assisted in developing and maintaining web applications using React.js or Node.js RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL or No
  
  SQL databases.
• Experience with version control tools (Git or Bitbucket).
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging web applications.
