Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- CompTIA Security+ certification. Experience with:
Active Directory Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) SSO technologies (SAML, OAuth, OIDC) - Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools
- Vulnerability management platforms
- Microsoft security technologies
- Exposure to security monitoring or Security Operations Center (SOC) environments.
- Understanding of Zero Trust and modern identity security concepts.
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Junior Security Analyst to join our growing cybersecurity team. This entry-level role will be responsible for managing and resolving security-related tickets, responding to alerts, supporting access management requests, and assisting with day-to-day security operations. The primary objective of this position is to help reduce and eliminate the current backlog of security requests while enabling senior cybersecurity team members to focus on strategic initiatives, security improvements, and threat defense activities.
The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, strong troubleshooting skills, and a desire to build a career in security operations. Key Responsibilities Review, prioritize, and resolve security-related tickets within established service level agreements (SLAs). Manage the cybersecurity team's ticket queue and work through a backlog of approximately 80 outstanding requests. Respond to user access requests, account modifications, and security-related service requests.
Support Identity and Access Management (IAM) processes, including provisioning, deprovisioning, access reviews, and role-based access control activities. Investigate security alerts and elevate potential threats to senior security personnel when necessary. Assist with endpoint security monitoring and basic incident triage activities. Perform vulnerability management support activities, including reviewing scan results and tracking remediation efforts. Maintain accurate documentation of security procedures, tickets, and resolutions.
Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, and Application Teams to resolve security-related issues. Support security audits, compliance initiatives, and evidence collection efforts. Identify recurring issues and recommend process improvements to increase operational efficiency. Participate in security projects and initiatives as assigned.
Compensation:
$22/hr to $30/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
