** Job Details:

* Summary:

*** Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak the same language by converting one spoken language to another.
* Interpreting services include but are not limited to Employment, Training & Orientation, Meetings, Human Resources, Health Services, and other operational activities as assigned.
* This position is held to a strict code of confidentiality.
* The interpreter must be willing to work in all environments of the facility.
** Requirements:
***
* Education:

*** High school degree or equivalent is preferred but not required.
*
* Experience:

*** Must be able to pass the Interpreter Assessment with an average total score of 90% or higher.
* One year of interpreter experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
* Current Team Members already certified under Tyson interpreter program or other language certification acquired through an academic organization will be preferred.
** Communication

Skills:

*** Must have strong verbal communication skills in their dominant language and the English language. Must agree to sign a confidentiality agreement.
** Special

Skills:

*** Must be able to work independently with little to no supervision, while at the same time be a member of a team to coordinate and provide support as needed. Must be able to demonstrate strong organizational, decision-making, and follow-up skills. Basic computer and typing skills preferred. The Interpreter is expected to use dictionaries and glossaries for reference in order to communicate a clear and concise message.
** Travel:
*** Must have a valid driver's license to attend outside medical appointments.
*
