A well-established, nationally respected law firm is seeking a 1–6 year associate to join its Environmental and Litigation Practice Groups in New Orleans.
This team is recognized for handling complex, high-stakes matters involving environmental regulation, enforcement, and commercial disputes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated associate to gain hands‑on experience in sophisticated litigation and administrative proceedings alongside experienced practitioners.
About the PracticeThe Environmental and Litigation Practice Groups represent clients in a broad range of matters involving environmental concerns, including:
- Defense of federal and state enforcement actions
- Administrative appeals and challenges to agency rulings
- Superfund and cost recovery actions
- Toxic tort and environmental contamination claims
- Commercial disputes with environmental components
Attorneys in this group regularly appear in state and federal courts and before regulatory agencies, handling matters that require both deep regulatory knowledge and strong litigation skills.
Qualifications- 1–6 years of litigation experience (environmental experience strongly preferred)
- Experience in federal and/or state court proceedings
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Admission to the Louisiana Bar (or ability to obtain promptly)
