Senior Counsel, IP Policy Advocate

Location: New Orleans

A company is looking for a Senior Counsel, Head of IP Policy & Advocacy.

Key Responsibilities Develop and execute an IP policy strategy to protect intellectual assets and promote innovation Engage with external stakeholders to influence legislation and rule making related to intellectual property rights Lead the IP Policy Team and coordinate cross-functional advocacy efforts within the organization

Required Qualifications J.D. or LL.M. degree from an accredited law school and admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction Four years of experience practicing Intellectual Property law Ten or more years of experience in Intellectual Property law preferred Experience in patent prosecution or litigation and involvement in trade organizations Strong management and leadership skills
