The Buyer II – Stores role is responsible for purchasing and distributing materials, equipment and supplies in accordance with company guidelines to satisfy inventory requirements while meeting costing, quality and on‑time delivery objectives.
Location:
Plymouth, MN, Hybrid
- Ensures that company standard procedures are followed in connection with purchases of material and services.
- Analyze demand patterns, sales trends and inventory levels across stores to effectively replenish stock and minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Actively manage inventory across locations, including transfers, rebalancing and resolution of shortages impacting customer orders.
- Follow up and maintain current and accurate database information, vendor lead times, open purchases, commitments and shortages.
- Update and maintain inventory maintenance within the software system to assist in decision making.
- Partner with store teams, customer service and operations to prioritize urgent needs and resolve product availability issues.
- Address supplier quality issues, monitor vendor performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and strengthen supplier relationships.
- Support high‑impact or critical items by expediting orders, identifying alternate sourcing and ensuring rapid resolution of supply disruptions.

Minimum Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts or Social Sciences.
- 2–4 years of experience as a buyer/purchasing.
- Advanced user of Excel Pivot Tables, Microsoft Suite.
- Experience working in MRP, ERP systems (SAP, Oracle).
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
- Ability to respond with urgency to resolve supply issues and support internal stakeholders.
- Travel to stores for inventory – 2–3 times a year with potential to do more.
- Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- HVAC Industry knowledge a plus.
