Job Overview
Gerber Collision & Glass is looking for a Parts Coordinator to provide exceptional customer experience while managing the ordering, receiving, storing, dispatching, and returning of parts for each repair order. The coordinator ensures accurate quality and timely parts distribution in accordance with the production schedule.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure consistent execution of the WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
- Communicate all customer requests and needs to appropriate team members.
- Order and receive all parts as indicated on repair orders, confirming quality, correctness, and quantity.
- Identify parts necessary to complete repairs in the shop.
- Distribute parts to the shop in accordance with the production schedule.
- Enter all parts invoices into the recommended Management Information System (MIS).
- Label and track parts by the R.O.# and store them with vehicle and/or scheduled repairs.
- Communicate Parts Price Changes (Parts Price Increases – PPI) to required team members.
- Order supplemental parts in the MIS, monitor vendor performance of parts, materials, and sublets.
- Reconcile daily parts vendor invoice history reports (e.g., 043 Report).
- Post and file/scanned invoices and credit memos in a timely manner.
- Ensure vendor invoices have correct negotiated discounts to maintain proper profit margins.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1‑3+ years of experience working with automotive parts (auto body parts a bonus).
- Customer Service oriented and capable of managing pressure and conflicting demands.
- Proactive problem‑solving initiative.
- I‑Car Registered (working toward Gold Class certification).
- Effective verbal and written communication.
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Ability to manage a fast‑paced environment and multitask under pressure.
- Knowledge of vehicle repair practices.
- Proficiency in Management Information System:
Summit, Repair Centre. - Working knowledge of Mitchell, Audatex.
- Parts sourcing:
Car‑part, Progi, APU, LKQ B2B. - Solid problem‑solving abilities.
- Above‑average computer proficiency.
- Above‑average organizational skills.
- Team‑work and achievement of common goals.
Frequently requires bending, crouching, reaching, handling tools, and lifting in excess of 50 lbs. of materials.

CompensationCompensation is $17.00 – $20.00 per hour, commensurate with skill, education, and experience. Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives may also be available.
