Meta is seeking an experienced Data Center Site Logistics Operations Lead in support of data center logistics operations.

This Lead will work closely with onsite program managers in partner organizations, influence IBOS (Infrastructure Business Operations Support) strategy, and collaborate with other IBOS teams. The role requires implementing consistent, repeatable, and scalable processes with analytics across operations, maintaining inventory consistency across Meta’s data center network, and driving continuous improvement. The candidate must understand logistics processes, systems, financial cost analysis, data analysis, and project management at tactical, operational, and strategic levels.

Logistics Operations Lead Responsibilities
  • Lead site logistics operations through project assignment, resource alignment, and prioritization, coordinating with IBOS managers.
  • Supervise logistics operations at assigned sites to ensure compliance with IBOS 4S standards (Safety, Security, SOX, Stakeholders).
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the IBOS team at each data center, partnering with cross‑functional teams, driving Circle of Leadership discussions, and presenting improvement feedback to leadership.
  • Facilitate day‑to‑day logistics of material movement—shipping, receiving, inventory management, and cycle counting of consigned and Meta‑owned inventory.
  • Supervise and monitor third‑party logistics teams, partnering to implement process improvements and best practices for safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Ensure production and monthly audits meet all SLA requirements and inventory controls across the data center.
  • Assess month‑ and quarter‑end DC Asset Audit requirements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Monitor inventory reconciliation processes to identify risk, manage obsolescence, and reserve appropriately.
  • Manage suppliers, materials, and inventory in line with Meta’s requirements.
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure site logistics performance and address concerns proactively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder teams to understand business requirements, implement new processes, and contribute to ongoing improvements.
  • Resolve site issues and coordinate necessary escalations.
  • Actively monitor operations dashboards and index reports to drive improvement.
  • Lead site IBOS analysts to run daily operations and site projects independently.
  • Implement creative ideas to keep IBOS operating costs minimal.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from data centers on changes, improvements, and tool/workflow revamps.
  • Partner with Environmental Health and Safety to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local safety requirements.
  • Share best practices and influence operations fleet‑wide by collaborating with other Site Logistics Operations Leads.
  • Use reporting and data to gauge logisitics team performance.
  • Identify waste and streamline processes to reduce excess materials.
  • Strive to refine logistics processes in alignment with best practices and analytical insights.
  • 10% travel required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, operations management, business management, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years experience in data center logistics, production IT, or a similar environment.
  • 10+ years experience in business analysis or program management.
  • Expertise in as‑is/to‑be business process mapping, gap analysis, requirement elicitation, and data analysis.
  • Experience in cross‑functional collaboration across multiple teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Project management experience (prioritization, planning, scheduling, status reporting).
  • Strong communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes from procure‑to‑pay.
