Collision Parts Coordinator

Description

The Collision Parts Person is responsible for ordering, receiving, inspecting, organizing, and distributing parts needed for collision repair operations. This position works closely with estimators, technicians, vendors, and insurance companies to ensure all parts are accurate, available on time, and meet quality standards to minimize repair delays and maximize customer satisfaction.

• Review repair estimates to identify all required replacement parts.
• Order OEM, aftermarket, recycled, and remanufactured parts as directed.
• Verify pricing, availability, and expected delivery dates.
• Receive and inspect all incoming parts for accuracy, damage, and completeness.
• Match received parts to repair orders before distributing to technicians.
• Return incorrect, damaged, or unused parts promptly and maintain return documentation.
• Communicate parts status and delivery updates to estimators, technicians, and management.
• Maintain organized parts storage and inventory areas.
• Ensure all parts are properly labeled and staged for each repair order.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve shortages, backorders, and warranty issues.
• Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy and conducting periodic inventory counts.
• Maintain records of parts orders, invoices, credits, and returns.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and dealership policies regarding parts handling.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
