Einkauf passive Sicherheit
The purchasing department for passive safety is responsible for the module purchasing and supplier quality management of components in the interior of all Mercedes-Benz cars and vans, as well as for the project management for the S-/E- and C-class series. In module purchasing and specifically in the purchasing team, we analyze the dynamic changes in the market and revise the purchasing and supplier strategy for our components.
We award development and series orders, conduct negotiations, and ensure the supply and quality of components. We are also involved from the start in innovations and new developments, as well as in the design that is of great importance for the brand and the interior of our vehicles.
These challenges come to you, among others:
- Participation in purchasing for inquiries, negotiations, and offer evaluations as well as the documentation of awards
- Preparation and participation in negotiations, strategy discussions, and relevant committees
- Constant exchange with the adjacent internal areas (development, logistics, quality, and cost planning) as well as our suppliers
- Detailed insight into the work of the purchasing organization of an internationally represented corporation and a commercial and technical overview of various material groups
The activity can start from August 2026.
Qualifications- Degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable course
- Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
- Secure handling of MS-Office
- Commitment and team capability
- Analytical mindset and strategic working method
