ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Truck and rail billing activities
- Preparing Shipping documents for outbound freight
- Coordinate with other departments to facilitate billing
- Maintaining truck and railcar tracking and workflow
- Scaling of trucks
- Controlling Gate 1 truck traffic
Competencies and Experience
- Required:
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Minimum of two years experience in an administrative capacity
- Effective communication skills
- Self directed and able to work with minimal supervision
- Preferred:
- Experience in an industrial environment in shipping, receiving or warehouse operations
- Required:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED or HSE
- Preferred:
- Associate s degree in business or related field
There are no supervisory responsibilities or direct reports for this position.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis position operates in an industrial office environment with heavy foot traffic in/out. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. This role is partially sedentary, however, some filing and handling of materials is required. This would require the ability to walk, bend, kneel, or stand, use of hands to finger, hold and handle, reach with hands and arms and to push / pull, lift or carry items up to 50 lbs.
The employee will occasionally be required to:
- This position would periodically require some exposure to heat/cold, walking, noise and wearing safety equipment/clothing for protection from hazards
The position requires the following vision and hearing capabilities:
- Talking person to person, on the phone, and/or in group settings
- Hearing in person, on the phone, and/or in group settings
- Vision at near, mid, and far range
- Position is full time, hourly and is eligible for overtime
- Works rotating 12 hour swing shifts – days/nights, alternating weekends, some holidays and overtime
- No travel requirements
