Calling all go-getting problem solvers with an interest in supply chain and freight forwarding! We want YOU to join Livingston as our next Freight Associate on a fun, fast-paced team. This is an entry-level position located in our New Orleans office with great room for growth.
This position reports to Team Lead and Manager for International Freight and Transportation Services and is responsible for entry level processing of export shipping transactions to completion.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Processing of documentation for the physical movement of cargo; identify discrepancies or issues
- Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with internal departments and vendors
- Adhere to specific client SOP's
- Learn the billing functions
- Develop knowledge of the shipping process and government regulations through cross training with other team members
- Follow up and/or track shipments with agents, carriers and warehouses
- Enter details of shipment in the freight system
- Execute clerical works: photocopies, filing, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of a High School diploma or GED
- Hard worker who always goes above and beyond
