Janitor, Maintenance​/Cleaning, Cleaning Services

Description:

LFI is seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming school environment for our students, staff, and families.

This position is a great fit for someone who takes pride in their work, is dependable, and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team. The Janitor is responsible for the daily cleaning and upkeep of classrooms, restrooms, offices, hallways, and other areas of the school campus.

• Clean and disinfect restrooms, classrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors
• Empty trash and replace liners
• Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, water fountains, and frequently touched surfaces
• Restock soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and other supplies
• Clean windows, mirrors, doors, walls, and other surfaces as needed
• Dust furniture, ledges, light fixtures, and other surfaces
• Maintain stairs, hallways, and other high-traffic areas
• Report maintenance, safety, or supply concerns when identified
• Assist with other janitorial and facility needs as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous janitorial, cleaning, housekeeping, facilities, or related experience preferred
• Dependable and able to maintain a consistent work schedule
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks thoroughly
• Attention to cleanliness, safety, and detail
• Ability to work effectively around students, staff, and school activities
• School or educational facility experience is a plus, but not required
