Southwest or open to Southeast, US Remote with Approximately 70–75% in territory. Coverage may include LA, TX, AL, MS. – Also, a Midwest Opening.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary: $140,000 – $180,000 per year (or $140k–$165k+ base, may extend depending on experience).

Bonus: 20–25% of base, based on individual and company performance.

Overview

This role leads commercial performance for Paper Machine Clothing (PMC) products and services in the Pulp & Paper industry and other industrial accounts across the region. It works closely with a team of direct reports to own regional budgets, forecasting, strategic account plans, resource allocation, and team development. The primary goal is to drive profitable revenue growth through disciplined financial management, issue resolution, adoption of sales process, competitive market response, and strong cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Lead regional team leadership, coaching and developing application and technical sales engineers.
  • Maintain credibility using mill/process language and engage clients at plant/mill level.
  • Own regional budget delivery, forecasting, and adoption of sales process.
  • Manage customer issue escalation and coordinate cross‑functional initiatives.
  • Financial management: deliver and manage the regional budget, monitor performance, identify root causes for variances, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Market awareness: monitor competitor activity, regional market dynamics, and customer trends; produce rolling three‑month sales forecasts and provide weekly updates.
  • Sales process and account strategy: advocate for the PFR Sales Process, lead account strategy reviews for top accounts, coach the team on high‑value activities and disciplined pipeline management.
  • Resource allocation: allocate sales and support resources for maximum coverage and ROI, promote time for proactive growth activities, and set stretch targets.
  • Team operations and development: manage and develop direct reports, oversee day‑to‑day operations including expense approvals and equipment tracking, facilitate onboarding, training, performance reviews, and promote health and safety standards.
  • Communication and cross‑functional collaboration: clearly communicate company objectives and regional priorities, drive alignment with support, product, marketing, and operations, and ensure accurate customer documentation and communication in WebCRM.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • Experience:

    7+ years in regional sales, technical sales or commercial leadership; experience in the Pulp & Paper or similar industrial sector.
  • Financial skills:
    Strong budgeting, variance analysis, and forecasting capability.
  • Leadership:
    Proven track record of hiring, coaching, succession planning, and performance management of direct reports.
  • Sales execution:
    Demonstrated success leading account strategy, complex deals, issue resolution, and process adoption.
  • Systems:
    Proficient with data‑driven dashboards and reporting.
  • Travel:
    Ability to travel frequently within the region.
