Louisiana Transportation Practice Leader

Serving as a practice leader, you will deliver major transportation projects for LaDOTD, providing operational and strategic direction, building client relationships, managing projects, and driving profitable growth.
What you’ll do- Build and maintain client relationships.
- Lead business development activities, including direct client interaction and engagement.
- Procure, manage, and execute DOTD projects as needed.
- Manage projects, coordinating with sub-consultants, scheduling projects/tasks, negotiating and developing contract scope and fees, preparing cost estimates, planning production oversight, managing design team members.
- Participate in marketing activities, such as proposal and letter of interest production, interviews, and other presentations.
- Foster collaboration between design teams and specialized service providers.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Professional Engineer Licensure (PE) in the state of Louisiana or the ability to obtain reciprocity within six months.
- 15 or more years of experience managing diverse transportation and roadway projects.
- Demonstrated team leadership skills, including the ability to recruit, develop, mentor, and oversee a highly motivated team, coordinate and balance workload with other regional teams, and present team portfolio performance to senior management.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to prepare scope-of-work and level-of-effort estimates for contract proposals, and to lead and manage a team for successful execution of contracted scope, budget, and schedule.
- Program management experience with DOT clients.
