Your job is more than a job. The Violence Intervention Program Manager will provide day-to-day leadership and management of program operations of the hospital-based Violence Intervention Program, in accordance with the core mission and values of the Program. The Program Manager will supervise employees, build on existing workforce strengths, and ensure accountability in the delivery of high-quality services to individuals impacted by violence.

- Supervise a team of Violence Interrupters and Violence Intervention Specialists, providing guidance, coaching, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, trauma‑informed and healing‑focused services aimed at helping participants achieve life goals towards a safe future.
- Develop and implement program policies and procedures in collaboration with the Director of Violence Intervention Services, Trauma Recovery Center leadership, hospital leadership and other community stakeholders.
- In collaboration with the Violence Intervention Program leadership, responsibilities will include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Plan and coordinate community outreach events aimed at spreading awareness of the program and services as well as supporting partner organizations.
- Coordinate with hospital departments, community organizations, and other partners to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to violence interventions.
- Conduct and participate in regular assessments of program effectiveness and recommendations for improvement.
- Provide training and supervision to staff on trauma‑informed care, case management and violence prevention best practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of program activities and outcomes.
- Work with the Director of Violence Intervention and team to produce regular required reports to stakeholders, including the City of New Orleans.
- Maintain program budget.
- Perform personnel administration (timesheets, staffing, etc.).
- Maintain effective communications with senior administration, medical staff, the community, and all levels of clinical employees.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with relevant stakeholders in various stages of program design and delivery, including program monitoring and evaluation and/or research initiatives.
- Research and participate in efforts to broaden funding sources.
- Maximize the use of alternative resources through collaborative relationships with academic institutions, community and nonprofit groups, parish, state and federal agencies.
- Master's degree in Social Work, Public Health or a related field.
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or eligibility for licensure preferred.
- 3 years of experience in social work, counseling, or therapy, preferably with a focus on violence intervention or related areas preferred.
- 2 years of Supervisory Experience required.
- Experience working in a public health or social service setting.
Please note that due to Louisiana Revised Statute 40:1203.3, some convictions exclude applicants from working in the hospital.
