The Mercedes-Benz Group AG is one of the most successful automotive companies worldwide, offering premium and luxury cars and vans through Mercedes-Benz AG. As a center, we are responsible for the transport network planning and procurement as well as the operational management of inbound and empty flows for all MBC sites in Europe. We supply CKD and PbP plants and contribute significantly to cost optimization in inbound and outbound logistics.
Our team of 31 colleagues at the Sindelfingen and Rastatt sites work enthusiastically on complex logistical challenges. We are responsible for the empty supply of cargo carriers from Mercedes-Benz AG plants to numerous suppliers. We manage logistics service providers, design the empty processes both operationally and strategically, and continuously optimize them. In addition to managing the operational processes, we also actively drive the digitalization and further development of our department.
We are looking for support for cross-departmental strategic projects in cargo carrier management.
These challenges include:
- Working on a project to realign the entire group's empty structure
- Contributing to continuous improvement and digitalization projects in empty processes
- Performing analyses and evaluations and presenting the results using Microsoft Excel and Power Point
- Working system-related with various digitalization software and Mercedes-Benz proprietary systems – including training phase
- Collaborating with the team at various locations
The position can start in September 2026.
Qualifications:
- Degree in economic engineering, business administration or a comparable field
- Secure German and English language skills in speech and writing
- Secure handling of MS-Office
- Commitment, proactive action and team capability
- Analytical mindset and strategic approach
- Independent working style
