About the Role:

The Acura/Honda Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire parts department operations, ensuring efficient inventory management and exceptional customer service. This role focuses on optimizing parts availability to support service and repair operations, thereby enhancing overall dealership performance and customer satisfaction. The Parts Manager will lead a team, coordinating procurement, inventory control, and sales strategies to meet dealership goals. They will also collaborate closely with service and sales departments to forecast parts demand and manage supplier relationships effectively.

Ultimately, this position plays a critical role in driving profitability and operational excellence within the parts division.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in automotive parts management, preferably within Acura or Honda dealerships.
• Strong knowledge of Acura/Honda parts and automotive industry standards.
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and dealership management software.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in automotive parts management or related field.
• Experience with Acura/Honda parts ordering systems and warranty processing.
• Demonstrated success in managing parts department profitability and inventory optimization.
• Familiarity with OSHA and workplace safety regulations.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the parts department, including inventory control, ordering, receiving, and stocking of Acura/Honda parts.
• Lead, train, and motivate parts staff to deliver outstanding customer service and achieve sales targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with parts suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with service and sales departments to forecast parts demand and optimize inventory levels.
• Monitor parts sales performance, analyze trends, and implement strategies to maximize profitability and reduce excess inventory.
• Ensure compliance with Acura/Honda corporate standards and dealership policies.
• Oversee warranty parts processing and ensure accurate documentation and billing.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts department environment.
