We are seeking a candidate for a key project leadership role leading project controls operations for an AI enabling infrastructure campus of unprecedented scale (2.5GW) and of strategic importance to Meta. The Project Controls Lead will not only be a technical subject matter expert overseeing all cost controls & commercial deliverables on the project and across multiple General Contractors, but also lead a team of Analysts representing Meta that will manage invoicing, commitments, financial reporting, and commercial management for the project.
This person will be a critical partner for the Delivery Director, Construction Management team and Schedule lead.
Leadership, communication, and organization skills are important in this highly collaborative, analytical, and strategic role. This position will work closely within the DEC (Design, Engineering and Construction) Business Controls team and various internal departments including Site Project Management teams, Pre-Construction, Contracts, Finance, Accounting, Sourcing and Operations Engineering.
Qualifications and Experience- 10+ years of Construction Project Controls experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Equivalent Technical Field or related field experience
- Subject Matter Expert in Cost management, construction change orders, and risk management
- Experience in Earned Value Management or collection and analysis of resource data
- Experience in Data Center, Manufacturing, Infrastructure or Construction programs requiring complicated commissioning specifications
- Proficient in Oracle Unifier
- Demonstrated analytical, communication, problem solving, prioritization, organization and reporting skills
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
- Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
- Demonstrated experience leading a team of project controls professionals
- Experience leading complex project or program project controls amongst a large group internal and external of project stakeholders
- Successful development and implementation of project controls strategies in a large organization
- Demonstrated experience partnering with XFN teams to influence strategic direction
- Demonstrated experience developing and driving actions or operational adjustments based on project controls performance metrics
- Experience negotiating construction changes or complex construction claims
