Role Description The Field Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based position, responsible for overseeing day-to-day petitioning and field campaign activities. This position manages field teams, including recruiting, onboarding, scheduling, and supervising petitioners to ensure signature goals and quality standards are met. The role includes coordinating with validators and compliance staff, monitoring performance metrics, and implementing operational processes to keep campaigns on track and within legal requirements.
The Field Operations Manager will liaise with clients and internal leadership, provide regular progress reports, troubleshoot issues in the field, and ensure accurate documentation and data collection. This role requires being present in the field, supporting teams on the ground, and adapting quickly to changing campaign needs and timelines.
Qualifications
- Experience in field operations or campaign management, including team leadership, scheduling, and daily oversight of on-the-ground staff.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with petitioners, validators, clients, and stakeholders in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of political campaigns, petitioning processes, or grassroots organizing; familiarity with compliance and ballot access regulations is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency with basic productivity and reporting tools (e.g., spreadsheets, field management apps, communication platforms) and comfort with data tracking.
- Ability to work on-site in New Orleans, LA, including time in the field; willingness to work irregular or extended hours during peak campaign periods.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a high level of reliability and accountability.
- Previous supervisory experience and a background in political consulting, advocacy, or related fields preferred; relevant education or training in political science, public administration, or management is a plus.
