Our Assistant Division Manager Trainees are developed to become future leaders responsible for directing crews, managing equipment, and delivering safe, efficient operations.
What You'll DoAs an Assistant Division Manager, you'll work directly with Division leadership while learning every aspect of field operations and crew management.
Responsibilities include:- Assist in supervising field crews during railroad, industrial, and emergency response operations.
- Lead crews safely at job sites and within the division facility.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and operational procedures.
- Assign daily work activities and monitor crew productivity.
- Coach, mentor, and develop employees through hands-on leadership.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Help ensure equipment and facilities remain operational and ready for deployment.
- Partner with Division leadership to meet customer schedules and operational objectives.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
- Learn budgeting, planning, scheduling, and overall division management responsibilities.
Requirements
What We're Looking ForWe're looking for individuals who are ready to grow into leadership positions while continuing to work alongside their teams in the field.
Required Qualifications- Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions
- Valid driver's license
- Minimum one year of heavy equipment operating experience preferred
- Previous leadership, crew lead, military, or supervisory experience is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 75%
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 emergency response environment
- Ability to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays when responding to emergency operations
