This Highway Foreman 1 supervises maintenance activities to ensure roads and bridges are durable and safe for public travel.

Minimum Qualifications- Four years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of roads, bridges, levees, drainage facilities, wharfs, buildings, or grounds;
- OR
- Four years of experience in the operation or maintenance of industrial or heavy mobile equipment.

Job Duties and Other Information- Supervises the Mobile Equipment Operators performing maintenance to the highways and bridges.
- Prepares daily labor and equipment report. Orders materials daily.
- Guides and instructs assigned personnel to see that Highway Standards are met.
- Conducts routine administration meetings and training.
- Works emergencies at night.
- May be required to perform other duties as necessary including, but not limited to, emergency/disaster support activities.

This position may be filled by probation, promotion or detail to special duty.

This position does not participate in Career Progression Group.

Compensation: $24.10
