Location: Iowa
Our client is a distinguished luxury retailer with over 50 years of heritage and a strong reputation for quality, craftsmanship, and timeless design. As the company continues to evolve and grow, they are establishing a new leadership role.
Key Responsibilities- Manage vendor/business sourcing relationships from a commercial/operational (not design) perspective: lead time, MOQ, quality control, margins, PO accuracy, and corrective actions
- Drive luxury-level quality assurance processes and product inspection standards to reduce returns, defects, and customer issues
- Lead and develop a high-performing team (~12), fostering collaboration, mentoring, and cross-functional communication
- Identify and implement technology and process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
- Partner with merchandising, sourcing, stores, e-commerce, logistics, marketing, and finance to align inventory with sales, promotions, and lifecycle plans
- Oversee inventory accuracy programs (cycle counts, RF systems, physical inventory) and loss prevention collaboration
- Own end-to-end inventory strategy across retail and e-commerce: forecasting, replenishment, allocation, transfers, and markdown management
- Monitor key metrics and create action plans on insights
- Manage inventory-related budgets, KPI targets, and continuous improvement projects
- 10+ years experience in inventory, planning, supply chain, or operations, with progressive leadership experience; 5+ years in senior leadership roles preferred
- Track record managing inventory for multi-channel retail (brick-and-mortar + e-commerce)
- Strong people and change leadership skills; proven ability to lead skilled, autonomous teams collaboratively
- Deep knowledge of inventory planning, allocation, replenishment, forecasting methodologies, and inventory accounting basics
- Comfortable with retail systems and data (OMS, ERP, forecasting/planning tools, OTB, Excel/BI); proven ability to leverage technology for process improvement
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in luxury or premium apparel/home goods retail
- Familiarity with vendor compliance programs and quality control processes
This role is not a remote role. You must be willing to relocate to Iowa to work at the company Headquarters and be a part of the leadership team on site
