Safety Officer

Gulf Coast Region – New Orleans to Baton Rouge Preferred: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Director of Safety Services to provide strategic and operational leadership for our Safety Services Division. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing safety operations, developing personnel, strengthening client relationships, driving business growth, and ensuring the successful execution of safety programs across industrial, commercial, government, healthcare, and institutional projects.

• Lead and manage the overall performance of the Safety Services Division.
• Develop, coach, mentor, and retain a high-performing team of safety professionals.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop future leaders within the division.
• Oversee safety projects from planning through completion while ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability.
• Establish and monitor operational processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while ensuring exceptional customer service.
• Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise and identifying opportunities for expanded services.
• Develop annual business plans, quarterly objectives, and key performance indicators.
• Monitor project budgets, staffing, utilization, scheduling, and financial performance.
• Forecast workload and staffing requirements to support operational success.
• Track divisional performance and implement strategies to improve productivity and profitability.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on company-wide initiatives and long-term strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and applicable safety standards.
• Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and safety excellence.

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of progressive safety leadership experience.
• Experience managing teams within industrial, construction, manufacturing, petrochemical, utility, or consulting environments.
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety management systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, staffing, and operational performance.
• Strong client relationship management and business development experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to develop scalable operational systems and improve business processes.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, CIH, or similar are preferred.

• Ability to travel throughout the Gulf Coast region as required.
• Ability to visit industrial, commercial, and construction job sites.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs or ladders, and navigate active work environments.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
