Short Term Rental – Assistant Property Manager

Pousada Property Management – a start-up short term rental and boutique hotel management

company – is in search of a part-time Assistant Property Manager to join our young firm. The Assistant

Property Manager will work directly with the Property Manager and is responsible for assisting in the

oversight of all managed operations. Primary functions include inventory management at all units,

restocking units with supplies, and overseeing repairs and maintenance.

We are looking for candidates who are: friendly, energetic, well-organized, able to multi-task, punctual,

dependable, and hands on. The ideal candidate needs to be willing to be on call on nights and

weekends in the rare event of emergencies.

The Property Manager will be responsible for assisting with the oversight of all day-to-day operations of

the property and property staff; facilities management and all other functions necessary to operate our

units.

Initial hours anticipated to be 10-20 per week and will vary depending on demand. This is a contract position and compensation is negotiable and hours are mostly flexible, but work must be completed between checkout and check-in of next guest. Non-contract full time position is also up for discussion as new property opens up early fall.

• Be the face of Pousada to our guests and always represent the company in the best manner.
• Work in conjunction with the other staff to develop capital improvement and preventive maintenance plans to maintain the value of the asset. Collaborate with other staff on turnover planning and execution.
• Manage property risks effectively by communicating potential liabilities, and reporting incidents in a timely manner.
• Foster a positive atmosphere for guests through experience and customer service to encourage guest loyalty.
• Oversees the cleanliness of the properties and the inspection of all apartments after cleaning.
• Keep inventory and notify Assistant General Manager when more supplies are needed.
• Keep track of any maintenance repairs or general wearing of furniture, supplies, and décor.

• Active drivers license and your own reliable transportation
• Professional communication with guests when needed
• Ability to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, and weekends

• Ability to  go the extra mile  to keep the property’s operation and experience up to an optimal standard
