Shares corporate vision, goals and information
· Ensures direct reports understand the health system mission, vision, values, and behaviors by role modeling. Keeps employees informed about corporate news in an effective and timely manner.

Involves staff
· Creates an environment where staff are involved in decision making and changes that affect the work they do. Ask staff for input and integrates ideas. Recognizes staff for ideas and suggestions for improvement.

Listens to new ideas
· Listens to staff and other sources;
Ask questions to ensure he/she understands the staff member(s) ideas and perspectives;
Shows listening with body language and action, is perceived as easy to talk to about things.

Departmental goal setting
· Involves staff in creating individual, committee and/or department goals; clearly communicates department goals, expectations, responsibilities and accountabilities.

Accountability Sets clear expectations
· Collaboratively works with direct reports to set meaningful performance objectives; sets specific performance goals and identifies measures for evaluating goal achievement.

Deals with inappropriate behaviors and uses action plans
· Addresses low performers in timely manner. Assist the employee in creating an action plan for improvement. Follows up with the employee onregular bases until performance improves.

Coaching and employee development
· Coaches individuals and teams to strengthen their performance; takes responsibility for identifying individual employee development needs and finding ways to address them. Gives frequent employee feedback on how they are doing their jobs and how they can improve to achieve goals. Recognition
· Notices and shows appreciation in sincere, timely and specific method. Uses both formal recognition programs and verbal appreciation.

Recognizes employee's progress in disciplinary action plans.

Change Management Innovation
· Demonstrates commitment to innovation and continuous performance and process improvement. Helps other recognize when their current wayof working is no longer effective in the changing healthcare climate.

· Successfully implements change; assigns tasks and responsibility, states deadlines.

· Adapts, adjust and responses effectively to change by readily accepting changes in work processes, new technology or other changes. Focuseson opportunities instead of problems.

· Gains strong support from key players to mobilize team to champion and implement change. Encourages other to commit to change initiatives by sharing the expected benefits and need for change. Removes any obstacle or barriers in the employee's way.

Planning and Organizing Critical Priorities
· Consistently sets, focuses and manages high priority, meaningful measures to achieve expected results. Regularly monitors performance and process measures; takes action when measures fall below the norm or benchmark.

Action Planning
· Spends time up front planning an approach and develops reasoned and feasible action plans given the resources and data available. Regularly monitors timelines, action plans and measures to organize and keep track of information.

Communication and Collaboration
· Establishes and builds agreement among project team members for project milestones, resource requirements, timelines and measures ofsuccess: focuses on the needs of all parties and generally reaches agreements with win-win outcomes
