Overview

Job Title: Purchasing Material Control Associate
Location: Amelia, LA
Position Overview: A Purchasing Material Control Associate supports activities involved with acquiring goods and services, such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, supplies, etc., in addition to supporting material control functions.

• Respond to purchase requests generated by repair demands.
• Identify suppliers.
• Maintain warehouse inventory; perform daily cycle counts and annual inventory count.
• Maintain a clean and efficient warehouse operation.
• Create purchase orders in computer system.
• Maintain manual and computerized procurement records.
• Resolve shipment quality/quantity discrepancies.
• Facilitate inspections, substitutions, and standardization of material needed.
• Deliver parts, equipment and material to location by arranging shipping as required.
• Expedite material deliveries as required.

• A minimum of 2 (two) years of experience ordering industrial equipment and supplies based on specified requirements.

• Ability to interpret blueprints is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.).
• Good communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
