Schedule: On-site, 3rd shift: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Sunday-Thursday

Pay: ~$34.96 / hour

The Contingent Engineer provides on site manufacturing and quality support during 3rd shift, ensuring production flow, quality compliance, and operational continuity. This role supports Fabrication (D155/D156) and D157 areas through hands on troubleshooting, in process quality checks, and communication of critical issues to 1st shift engineering and leadership teams. Key responsibilities include supporting operators with equipment, tooling, and process issues; performing in process quality audits and defect containment;

coordinating with Quality on suspect material; and identifying opportunities for safety, productivity, and process improvements. The engineer will capture operator feedback, support process changes, and help maintain smooth operations while skilled trades complete projects.

• Must have Welding background within their manufacturing engineering experience along with Quality and process improvements. All three are equally as important to one another.
• Bachelor's Degree is required-Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Quality Engineering.
• Entry level 1-2 years of experience. Internships will be allowed to be included within the 1-2 years of experience.
• Talent will assist team with production support, assisting operators with troubleshooting mechanical issues, address process issues, concerns over changes, ensure team has the right tooling, address nonconformance issues, document potential improvements.
• Must be able to work independently, this is a 3rd shift role with not many other engineers on site for support/guidance.
• Robot programming is preferred but not required.

On-site role on 3rd shift supporting active production areas. Hours may vary based on operational needs, including occasional flexibility to arrive earlier or stay later to support shift handoff. Requires frequent presence on the shop floor, including around welding, fabrication, and automated equipment. PPE required per area standards. Metatarsals needed day 1.
