An opportunity exists within Mannok Cement for a Control Room Operative. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor the successful candidate will have responsibility for:
- Monitoring and Controlling of all operations associated with the plant.
- Working to set points on production targets and chemistry targets.
- Reporting any abnormalities seen in areas being monitored at the earliest time.
- Monitoring of all operations associated with Plant departments.
- Liaising with operators outside via radio
- Liaising with Maintenance on days and on callouts to facilitate repair work.
- To ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with Mannok Cement Health and Safety operational procedures.
- To be able to interchange between control room and robot lab when required.
- To keep control room and robot lab in a clean and tidy manner.
- Any other duties associated with the post and interchange of duties as required.
To meet the demands of the role, you will need to have a thorough knowledge of the production process and be computer literate. Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate a flexible attitude, have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team, achieve targets and prioritise workload. The successful candidate must be able to meet the physical and health requirements of the role
The hours of work are shifts days, nights and weekends.
