The Maintenance Manager provides strategic leadership and hands‑on direction for all maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. This leader is responsible for driving equipment reliability, optimizing preventive maintenance practices, managing departmental budgets, and fostering a high‑performance team culture. Through proactive planning, technical expertise, and effective communication, the Maintenance Manager ensures that all machinery, systems, and infrastructure support the company’s production goals and long‑term growth.
Key Responsibilities- Leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic maintenance and repair of facility machinery and systems.
- Develops and executes strategic plans for equipment installation, preventive maintenance, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee the Preventive Maintenance (PM) Program, ensuring optimal uptime and extending equipment life cycles.
- Controls departmental costs by managing labor, materials, and overtime, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals.
- Provides technical guidance and mentoring, supporting team members in diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues.
- Drives operational excellence by analyzing performance trends and implementing improvements in equipment performance, safety, and overall plant efficiency.
- Serves as the site lead for Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), including AM/PM pillar leadership, embedding TPM practices into daily operations.
- Collaborates cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to align maintenance efforts with production demands and long‑term capital strategies.
- Oversees procurement and inventory of critical spare parts, ensuring timely availability to reduce downtime.
- Provides oversight for robotic systems and programmable controllers, ensuring proper programming and function.
- Enforces safety standards and regulatory compliance while creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Interprets technical documents, blueprints, specifications, and production schedules to plan workforce assignments effectively.
- Facilitates team communication through regular meetings, safety talks, and performance reviews, ensuring alignment and engagement.
- Coaches and develops team members, promoting professional growth and a culture of ownership and initiative.
- Assists in delivering the 5‑year capital plan with the Engineering Manager.
- Tracks and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and takes corrective actions to ensure the department consistently meets Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost targets.
- Serves as a leadership role model, motivating the team to achieve ambitious standards of performance and integrity.
- Maintains flexibility to support the facility across various shifts as needed.

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5 years of maintenance or manufacturing leadership experience.
- In lieu of a degree will consider high school diploma and 10+ years of progressively responsible related experience.
- Solid understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), CFR 110 regulations, and AIB food safety standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, handheld tools, and SAP S/4 HANA preferred.
