Responsible for selecting product from an assigned area according to the pick slip.

• Accurately select product from a pre-assigned location according to the pick slips; read nomenclature and unit of measure of the product requested and confirm data with the product in the bin location.
• Properly pack product in each container as indicated by the cubing function in the sequence of pick‑slips.
• Follow proper guidelines to ensure no damage to product during loading or shipping.
• Mark load number on particular boxes.
• Note when product is available on pick‑slip and further note when the product is unavailable.
• Report to work on time, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor for each shift, and complete duties in a timely manner.
• Perform above-listed duties cooperatively, in a capable manner, processing information effectively and communicating as needed.
• Be subject to cross‑training into other jobs within the organization based on company needs.

The physical demands of this job include light physical activity and light strenuous activities of an administrative, productive, and/or technical nature. Regular standing, use of hands to touch, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Frequent walking, occasional talking or hearing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Regularly lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment attributes: regular work near moving mechanical parts and in outdoor weather conditions; occasional wet humid conditions. Some selectors work in refrigerator and freezer. Selectors working in freezer are provided with suits, gloves, and face or head gear. Noise level is usually moderate.

Night shift:
Sunday (9 am to completion), Monday through Thursday (12 pm to completion). 40‑hour work week.
