Responsibilities
- Responsible for packaging dried egg into 50 lb boxes with a plastic liner.
- Sanitation of the dryer and equipment, including disassembly, cleaning, and assembly of augers using LOTO, entering warm dryer box wearing protective clothing, and using LOTO and confined space procedures.
- Maintain the standard of cleanliness of the work area.
- Confirm and verify final weights of finished products.
- Properly seal and label finished product containers.
- Stack finished product on pallets.
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is maintained.
- Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Less than high school education.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words, recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers, and print and speak simple sentences.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to add and subtract two‑digit numbers.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form, and to deal with problems involving one concrete variable in standardized situations.
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations: None required.
- Ability to stand on hard surface most of shift.
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 60 lbs. for 8 feet.
- Ability to climb steps and ladders.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work in warm, noisy and sometimes dusty environments.
- Ability to obtain a forklift license.
