The Loading Laborer performs a variety of material handling and cleaning tasks as assigned.
DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Operates forklifts to empty trash hoppers, sugar hoppers, and move pallets to be flipped, re-stacked, and/or reprocessed.
- Performs general area housekeeping, including but not limited to picking up trash and debris, sweeping, mopping, operating floor scrubbers, and PIT Mop Machines
- Performs basic sanitation tasks, such as re-filling towels and soap in hand-washing sinks and general area cleaning.
- Re-works damaged product to make it saleable (if it can be salvaged) or re-processes if it cannot be salvaged.
- Assists in filling bags or rejects to be re-melted
- Places cardboard sheets on pallets to be filled by the palletizer and by hand
- Inserts sheets in palletizer as directed.
- Performs all other duties as directed by foreman or supervisors.
- Performs all jobs in accordance with established safety practices and sanitation standards.

- Minimum of one year experience driving a forklift
- Minimum of one year experience working in an industrial manufacturing area
- High school diploma or equivalent prefered
- Ensure proper performance of assigned duties
- Operate freight elevator with minimum hazard
- Heavy physical effort;
Stands, bends, pulls, pushes, and lifts - Must be able to maneuverer equipment in confined areas
- Candidate must be able to coordinate hand and foot controls
- Should possess ability to read shipping documents and other written material
- Starting Rate: $25.58
- Paid sick days and vacation after 90 day probationary period
