Now Hiring for the 2026 Harvest Season

Starting pay up to $15/hr (dependent on experience).

Weekly pay and overtime opportunity.

This is an entry level position responsible for the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.

Responsibilities
  • Operating the PLC and necessary equipment for operating the grain elevator.
  • Proper and accurate weighing and sampling of all inbound and outbound grain and grain products.
  • Assisting in housekeeping, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of the grain handling area (tunnels, head house, concrete grounds, grass areas, flag pole, etc.) and any other areas within the plant or office as delegated.
  • Proper calibration of all grain testing equipment, conducting cross checks for grain testing equipment and weighing equipment (including truck scales) and proper documentation of such.
  • Conducting applicable toxin testing on all inbound and/or outbound grain, packaging samples for shipment/storage and properly shipping grain samples to the appropriate lab as required.
  • Operating all grain weighing equipment, software and systems.
  • Recording all applicable documentation accurately and reporting any errors or irregularities.
  • Developing product knowledge and understanding how to handle any hazardous properties of products.
  • Following all applicable safety and environmental regulations with respect to the product being handled.
  • Complying with all the company’s safety programs and policies.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • One (1) year of grain industry experience is preferred.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety-conscious environment.
  • Ability to work in a quality-controlled environment.
  • Regularly walks, bends and stoops.
  • Regularly walks on catwalks at various heights up to 200 feet with appropriate safety equipment.
  • Regularly climbs stairs and ladders.
  • Regularly lifts up to 75 pounds.
  • Regularly enters and works in confined spaces.
Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • One (1) year of grain industry experience is preferred.
  • Basic written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a safety-conscious environment.
  • Ability to work in a quality-controlled environment.
