Planer Machine Man

Location: Dodson

Description The Dodson Lumber Mill is seeking an experience Planer Machine Man to join our Planer Mill team. This is a full-time hourly position with an hourly wage of $27.55.Why You’ll Love Working Here Safety First Culture – We prioritize your well-being every day.

Key Responsibilities Make adjustments to machines as needed to maintain excellent product quality and planer throughput

Perform daily set up procedures

Maintain a clean and orderly work area Repair, set up and adjust planer machines for required sizes

Recognize and eliminate defects due to planer set up Perform all duties in accordance with mill safety processes and procedures

Assist with other planer mill maintenance as needed

Enter work notifications into computer data base/tracking system

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.A minimum of 2 years employment experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment OR equivalent technical training.

Able to work safely around moving manufacturing equipment and machinery.

Able to work overtime, holidays, as well as night shift and weekends.

Able to work in extreme temperatures, dusty and noisy conditions, while wearing safety protective equipment.

Able to perform labor intensive work and essential job functions of the position, which may include climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting up to 50 lbs. and bending, work from heights, and stand or walk for 2-3 hours at a time for 10 hours.
