Shipping Loader 1st Shift

Job Description

Loader responsible for loading, unloading, packing and shipping parts.

• Pay range: $18 - $21 per hour (based on experience)
• Walk‑in interview:
  Wednesday, 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM (walk‑ins welcome)

• Check, shuttle, move, and perform all essential functions of the Loader
• Load trucks and place parts on trailers in a safe manner in accordance with manufacturing procedures to prevent damage during shipment
• Package, crate, or load items to ensure safe arrival and proper capacity loading
• Use crating and packaging materials, metal bands, covering, or other methods to secure and protect parts in shipment and for weighing trucks of items as required
• Determine lift adequacy and decide when to check actual vs. maximum allowable trailer load
• Verify each load is complete before proceeding
• Expedite completion of work in process to meet production schedules
• Unload and check items against freight bills, packing lists, or shipping notices; record damages, shortages, or irregularities and notify Team Leader
• Provide on‑the‑job direction to new shipping/warehouse employees or other assistants
• Load/unload transfer trucks and load multi‑drop route trucks
• Assist with inventory counts as required
• Maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area
• May be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team Leader

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a high‑production manufacturing environment
• Willingness to cross‑train and be promo table
• Experience operating forklifts and other lifting equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
