Luzianne Tea Manufacturing Plant, 5601 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans, LA 70126

Shift: 1st Shift (Tuesday–Friday 4:30am–3:00pm)

Position:
Line Operator – responsible for operating tea and/or coffee production packaging equipment safely and efficiently while ensuring quality and compliance.

• Operate production equipment efficiently according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and food/employee safety requirements to meet daily labor and waste goals.
• Utilize Digital Production System (Redzone) to track downtime, perform quality compliance documents, and communicate with support functions.
• Complete changeovers for assigned equipment and/or production line.
• Learn and maintain customer standards for product specifications and acceptable quality.
• Read and follow instructions regarding daily expectations, requirements, or specifications.
• Accurately complete all quality, traceability, and production paperwork.
• Report any product deficiencies, food, or safety concerns to supervisor.
• Perform minor equipment adjustments to ensure optimal operation.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation and assist others with product changeovers.
• Support and comply with GMP’s; understand and follow emergency action plans.
• Ensure the operation produces food‑safe, quality products that meet or exceed all specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of machine operating/production experience preferred.
• Technical skills: ability to start and stop equipment, complete a changeover, and operate one piece of equipment.
• Interpersonal skills: good verbal and written communication, good time‑management skills, and the ability to follow rules and directions.
• Leadership skills: positive attitude, team‑player mindset, and self‑leadership.
