Location: New Orleans

Production Operator

Responsible for the day‑to‑day operations of production lines, including starting and stopping equipment such as palletizers, carton makers, carton sealers, drop packers, injection machines, and other applicable machinery.

Essential Functions
  • Maintain overall production line, ensuring all equipment is operating correctly.
  • Perform minor adjustments to production equipment as directed, with no mechanical work without prior approval.
  • Accurately complete and update information forms and logs, including Machine Reports, Quality Reports, Downtime Reports and Carton Top Load Reports.
  • Recognize unsafe conditions and actions, follow plant safety rules, and use personal protective equipment as required.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in all production areas, including break rooms and rest rooms.
  • Manage raw materials supplies – bottle caps, labels, cartons, trays, pallet wraps, glue, slip sheets – to ensure continuous smooth running of equipment.
  • Fill hourly inspection sheets in accordance with quality standards and report all quality defects immediately.
  • Work in multiple production areas with minimal supervision and perform relief duties when required.
  • Troubleshoot minor production equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance.
  • Use computer systems such as Oracle/MES or other order management systems; understand line flow and manufacturing processes to maximize throughput.
  • Communicate issues clearly and concisely; maintain predictable, regular attendance.
  • Work 12‑hour shifts, day or night, on a rotating 2‑2‑3 schedule.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar production position.
  • No required experience managing people or projects.
  • Experience operating multiple manufacturing machines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4 years’ experience in a field or similar manufacturing environment.
  • 4 years’ experience in a similar production position.
  • 2 years’ experience managing people or projects.
  • Combination of work experience and education.
