Progress Rail in Marshalltown, IA is seeking an Assembly Mechanic Welder Technician to repair and assemble locomotive components and run engine tests. You will read schematics, weld using GMAW/FCAW, perform surface prep, masking, painting prep, and train new operators while maintaining safety and quality standards.
The role requires 2–5 years mechanical and welding experience, AWS D1.1 certification, and the ability to work M–Th 10-hour days with overtime as needed.
